Photographs of Horses as Gifts

Equine lovers love to receive fine horse gifts for birthday or for Christmas. Horse related gifts that are unique are often hard to find. A great gift is a photograph of their horse or horses. There are usually several local photographers that don’t charge an arm and a leg for a farm photo shoot. A farm photo shoot is where the photographer comes to your farm and takes a series of pictures of the horses there. Often times they will allow a group of people to bring their horses to that particular and will allow those owners to split the farm fee, but they still pay for their individual photos. Arranging a farm photo shoot and paying the farm fee and maybe for a couple of 8 x 10’s is a great gift to give to any horse owner. The photos can be from the horse standing for the farrier, to the horse being ridden under saddle, or even the horse at liberty or in a herd. Horse lovers everywhere take great pride in displaying pictures of their horses on the walls of their homes or even in the barn office and tack room.

At horse shows there is always a show photographer who takes pictures of the horses during the class and they normally have an area set up outside the arena for pictures to be taken individually after each class, a lot of times you can have your picture taken there even if you didn’t place in the ribbons. Purchasing one of these photos for a friend is also a great gift. If you can’t go the professional route, taking some candid snapshots while your friend is out with their horses or riding them and putting together a few big pictures or a scrapbook is another great gift. If you can’t do either just giving a print of a beautiful horse is another way to go. Most horse lovers will display a painting or photo of a horse that just catches the eye and makes them smile. Any kind of picture of a horse is a great gift for the equine lover.
