It’s really difficult to determine the kitchen renovation costs of a kitchen anywhere, let alone a kitchen in Los Angeles. Los Angeles is one of the most diverse cities in the United States and is labeled as the “Creative Capital” of the world so there aren’t a lot of designs that don’t work there. If you are home remodeling Los Angeles style, you are probably going with a more modern look. Sometimes though, designs coming out of Los Angeles can be a bit over the top. For instance, there is a restaurant in Los Angeles where people eat put that is served on people. A restaurant like that isn’t something you typically see in a typical town. Can you imagine seeing that in Omaha, Nebraska?
It’s difficult to nail down kitchen renovation costs. It all depends on what you want. Do you want laminate counter tops, granite, Silestone, recycled glass, chop block or a cement counter top? All of them are fair, but the costs are very different. A laminate counter top is probably your most cost effective, but it’s also not the most luxurious look, although I’ve seen some really nice laminate counter tops that might pass for Silestone or granite.
The other big dollar item is the cabinets. You can remodel and use the same cabinets you have, but just reface them or you can purchase all new cabinets. All new cabinets very in range by quite a bit depending on the amount of customization you want in your cabinets. The last big item is the kitchen appliances. You can save yourself a lot of money by keeping your old appliances. Basically, the other option is the replace the appliances with new appliances. You could save money by waiting for a sale or you can perhaps purchase lightly used appliances on Craigslist.
