Choosing Your Ideal Coffee Maker
Hello there. Today I will be comparing a couple of my favorite coffee makers in my task to try and find the best coffee maker. I have been looking about for a while now to try and find a style of coffee maker and two models within that style that could truly help me identify which kind of machine is the best. The two machines I eventually chose were the grind ‘n brew Cuisinart DTC-975 and the Keurig B70 Platinum. The reason that I chose these two units is because they both a huge time savers but in slightly different ways. The hassle of grinding coffee using a separate grinder is always something that has irked me, but with these two machines that is not a problem.
The Cuisinart DTC-975 removes the hassle of having to grind by grind the coffee for you. You can actually set the unit up on a timer, so that all you need so is pop the coffee beans in the units bean hopper the night before, and the machine will grind the coffee right before you get up, so when you do come downstairs for your morning brew, you will have a freshly ground cup of coffee sitting there waiting for you.
The Keurig B7 Platinum on the other hand is a pod system brewer and doesn’t even use coffee grinds. You have this little pod thingy that looks like the milk you get in the restaurant. You choose the flavor of pod that you want, (Keurig has a massive range of gourmet blends available over at their website) pop it in the machine and 30 seconds later, boom you have a fresh cup of coffee waiting in your cup. The B70 is also fully programmable, but seeing as it only takes 3 seconds to brew anyway, I hardly see the point in the function.
Thanks for taking the time to read this comparison of two of my top coffee makers. I hope that you can now confidently choose which is the best coffee maker.
