Ideal Game For All The Family – Bananagrams

The game Bananagrams is the brilliant spin on the old game of scrabble from Charis Games. This game was actually created by a family who were obviously bored with the original rules of scrabble and wanted something a little faster paced. There is no more waiting about for dictionary checks in this game, no more waiting for the slow joe to take 20 minutes over one go. Here players are rewarded for completing their scrabble “style” patter with their letter squares.

Each round starts with the players being dealt a hand of the letter tiles face down on the table in front of them. After each player is ready to begin the round, one of the players begins by shouting the word “split”. Once the word split has been shouted the players then begin frantically to assemble their pattern as fast as they possibly can. Once the first player has gotten the pattern assembled correctly they can shout the word “peel” and that shout, the player and all the other players in toe must take 1 tile from the pile in the middle of the table. After all the tiles have been depleted from the bunch the players can then have a mad rush to the finish, because the next player to finished their pattern is declared the winner.

I think that this is not just ideal for the Sunday night family game, but it is also the ideal game for travel as well. The little yellow pouch that the game comes with means that players can enjoy the game on the go with hardly any hassle at all in transporting the game.

Thanks awfully much for taking the time to peruse this Bananagrams review. I hope that you are now like me very interested in this game and that little bit closer to making your decision as to whether you want to make a purchase of this game or not.
