Keeping Girls Supplies Organized
Being the mother of two young girls is not easy, especially since I encourage their artistic sides. And since she has gotten serious about her dancing lessons, the amount of stuff that she has lying around her room feels like it has gotten out of control. Here are a couple ways I’ve kept her collections in check, and made sure her room is as neat as possible, considering how full it is.
She’s been dancing for a few years now, and she loves it, so I would never take that from her. Early on I learned the importance of a dance garment bag, and how she needs to have a supply of clothes, and some first aid backup supplies, on hand for all rehearsals and shows. This bag is easy enough to keep hung up in her closet, though I always need to make sure her clothes are out and getting washed. I’ve taken to having her hang it in the closet near the back door, so I can keep an eye on it and make sure it’s being kept up to shape.
She also has a lot of jewelry – nothing terribly expensive, but it’s all very lovely, and she loves making new combinations of colors with her clothes and jewelry, and is getting pretty good at it lately. So I got her a large jewelry stand to hold most of her necklaces. It’s big enough that she has most of what she owns right at her disposal, easy to get to and simple to compare, though she still can’t fit it all on. But it makes things easier on her, and keeps things somewhat organized.
So these are a couple ways that I keep my daughter’s belongings organized. Perhaps they will work for you, or give you ideas for something that works. Good luck!
