Saving The Environment, One Kettle At A Time

Saving the environment, one kettle at a time. You must be wondering what on earth I’m talking about right?! Well let me leave you in suspense no longer, I feel something real needs to be done to set up a sustainable future for our children. The way some people are acting is like we can just waste this earth away and it doesn’t matter. We will see the effects long in the future, and by then you won’t be alive. But what about your kids? Or your kid’s kids, your grand children. Wouldn’t you want the earth to be a nice place for them too? Wouldn’t you want the best life for them possible?

Some people think only short term, but there’s no time for that mentality. If we want to ensure our future stays green as possible, we need to take steps to achieving that now. I’m not talking about anything drastic either, I’m talking about taking small steps at first. Small things like recycling the containers you use, and only boiling the amount of water you need.

This is where the kettles bit comes in. Too many people fill up more water then they need when boiling water, they just guesstimate it and often end up putting too much. By doing this you are both wasting water and wasting gas, as that extra water takes longer to boil. This can be easily rectified, simply measure out the amount of water you need in a cup before hand and use only that amount. So if you want to get a kettle to try this out but aren’t interested in the electric kettle prices you’ve seen, look around for some reduced price kettles and get one of those instead.

Saving the environment is possible if we all do our bit. Doing things like boiling less water in our kettle isn’t going to affect out day, but it can effect our world.
