Guide to Pusher Jets

If you have not flown any type of RC aircraft in the past, then a model jet will be very difficult to fly. Most customers are tempted to automatically purchase the sleekest and fastest plane on the market, but there is a lot about flying that they do not realize. A RC jet is not like an RC car or boat where you can immediately start flying after purchasing it. These devices require hours’ worth of trial and error before they will even take off. If a customer purchases the fastest model jet at the shop, it will probably crash and break quite quickly.
Unlike RC gliders and helicopters, a RC model jet can travel at an incredibly high speed. Although this makes it exciting to fly, it can be very difficult to control. Before you start to fly a jet, you should have extensive experience with other forms of remote controlled aircraft. A glider is a perfect plane to start with because they do not have a heavy frame or large engine. An RC glider may have a small engine, but it is still quite easy to control. A slow aircraft means that it will not be as serious if the plane crashes or breaks because it will not be expensive to replace.
A slower aircraft can help to go gain valuable experience about the essentials of flying. Before moving to a high speed aircraft, you should always have basic flight patterns memorized. Some examples include landing, taking off, and making turns. Once you can master these moves with a slow plane like a glider, you can then move on to faster forms of aircraft. Once you feel like you have had enough practice, purchase a pusher jet and take to the skies. Pusher jets are slower than turbine jets and are also much cheaper to maintain.
