Tuscan Holidays
Tuscany is one of the most well known and best loved regions of Italy. The area has something for everyone, as it contains some of Italy’s most beautiful and historic towns and cities, as well as friendly people and a unique culture. A Italian holiday here also allows you to sample some of the delicious food and excellent wines that the region is justifiably famous for.
In addition to the history and culture that this area of Italy offers, Tuscany holidays allow you to visit some of the smaller and locally owned vineyards, that are found throughout the area. Most of these welcome visitors and there can be few things more enjoyable than relaxing over a glass of wine in the middle of one of the most beautiful parts of Europe.
Many visitors to Tuscany understandably concentrate on seeing the famous towns and cities that the region is home to, in particular Florence and Pisa. Florence was the birthplace of the art movement known as the Renaissance, which gave the world such famous names as Miichelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Pisa, of course,is home to the famous Leaning Tower, one of the most instantly recognisable buildings in the world. But one of the joys of a visit to Tuxcany is getting off the beaten track a little bit and exploring the countryside as well as some of the lesser known towns and villages.
It is not difficult to see why Tuscany attracts visitors from around the world. This region offers fine wines, breathtaking scenery, historic towns and some of the world’s most famous works of art. A visit here can be as relaxing or as active as you care to make it, although one thing is for certain – if you do visit Tuscany, you will certainly want to return one day.
