New Kindle 4 Coming To Market
Now that we are into 2011 people are starting to talk about the Kindle 4 release date. At the moment though, Amazon have not committed to any firm schedule and told the public about it. Of course they are bound to be pressing ahead with their design and at some stage moving towards production of a new hand held reader.
Of course, we would all like to know when to expect a new model. But even though we do not know the precise date, we can be sure that it is going to happen at some stage. Just by looking at the release history of their hand held reading products, we can see that there is usually a gap of between 1 to 1 1/2 years between each major release. Therefore, since the 3rd generation model came out in August 2010, it would seem likely that the next version will not be ready until August 2011 at the earliest.
To be quite honest, the Kindle 4 will probably not be coming out until later in the year. Perhaps it will not be ready until 2012. The reason for this suspicion is that the next version is going to be a complete overhaul. It is likely to be the biggest single change in feature set since the Kindle reader was first released.
Why will this be the case? You may be asking. The fact of the matter is that the current Kindle 3 reader is an amazing device. Its screen is the sharpest and most well defined version that has ever been used. But the question is, how much better can it get?
The point is that the simple black and white screen cannot really get much better. Therefore we should expect to see some sort of major upgrade with the next Kindle. So it is not too hard to believe that the Kindle 4 will have a color screen that has touch functionality as well.
