Balboa Park, one of San Diego’s biggest attractions, is located here, a 1,200 acre haven of greenery, museums, restaurants, and shops. Balboa Park is famous, not just in the U.S., but around the world, and is one of the oldest public-recreation sites in the country.
Hillcrest can be a very daunting area to visit, due to its large size. However, while it is highly recommended for visitors to take vehicles in order to be able to enjoy all of the area’s important venues, walking is something that gives visitors to Hillcrest a new tourist experience.
