Decorating with a rug that really jumps out at you

Have you ever been in a rug and carpet store and seen a rug that just jumped out at you but you did not know how people were able to decorate their rooms around it? Well you are not alone, many people have this problem every day. So to help you out and to get the old wheels in your head a turning. Here are a few examples of some very nice rugs, and the room décor around them.

First in the line up is the lime green rug. This rug has often gotten a bad rap from many people because it is simply too bright. In addition to that most people just do not know how to decorate around a rug like this. This is unfortunate because when I see rooms that professional designers have created using this color of rug along with arctic white furniture the results are simply amazing. So if you want to create a room that will stick in peoples memories just remember lime green and arctic white!

My next pick for area rugs that are often over looked has to be the always recognizable zebra rugs. I do not know why zebra rugs are over looked so often. They make wonderful center pieces that you can design a room around. The best way to go about this is by following a theme. I would recommend probably a jungle type theme with a lot of really great African accent pieces. As far as furniture goes I prefer leather either in black or white, but if you are feeling crazy why not go with both. The great thing with using this rug is that you can really let your imagination run wild!

As you can see decorating with a wild looking rug just requires a little imagination and a flair for style.
