Classic Muscle Cars
Classic cars are among collectors most prize possessions. These cars have been sought after for decades. Among these classic car collections is the 1970 Dodge Challenger. The Challenger has an interesting history of ups and downs, both in the history of sales, and auto racing. The car was released in late 1970, but took a downward spiral in 1972. During that time, other classics were in the competitive race and gaining recognition. The Challenger was, and still is known, for its unique body shape, and high performance engine.
The 1969 Dodge Charger was an old time favorite in the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. The car called The General Lee was displayed with 01 painted on the door, and would play the famous song Dixie by pressing the horn. This show purchased hundred of Chargers for their stunts. The Charger was one of the first models introduced in 1968. It was a prototype of the 426 Hemi. There were only 67 (500 series) Chargers built that housed the Hemi 426. Of the Hemi models, only 27 models were produced with 40 Torques and 4 speeds.
The first “pony” ever produced was the Ford Mustang in 1964. The production of this classic prompted other car industries to produce competitive automobiles. The birth of the Chevy Camaro, AMC Javelin, the Plymouth Barracuda and other famous classic were all inspired by the creation of the Ford Mustang. This car is a classic and is still a collectors’ dream.
The Chevy Camaro made it appearance in 1967, and included 3 different packaging’s. The RS package included redone taillights, invisible headlights and outer trimming. The SS model included a V8 engine with and optional big block V8 or (6.5 Litre), strips on the grille, a gas cap, a press button horn, and many other features including a convertible top, with high performance engine.
The Z-28 Chevy Camaro made its debut in 1966 for the 1967 model year. This Chevy classic had a smaller V8 engine an intake manifold made out of aluminum, a vacuum carburetor, front disc power brakes, and a 4-speed transmission. The engine found in the Camaro was exclusively designed for the Trans Am series. As the Trans Am were used in many racing events. These classic racecars are still in existence today and are being sought after by various car collectors.
