Choosing the Right Interior Wall Paint for Your Theme

Interior wall paint can really give you a designer look. You might not be able to afford all of the furniture that you’re seeing as well as new decorative accessories. However, if you want to just do a few DIY projects and compromise a little bit on your design style you can still really get this look in your room. It’s just a matter of figuring out which colors are will work with the light and space that you actually have instead of trying to mimic that designer color directly.

You can go with more muted versions which is especially important if you’re shopping for something that you see in magazines because this has more of a likelihood that it will work in your room. In this case, you could just go for very pale grays, or even blues.

It is important to still get a punch of color in your room. You could do this with contrast by painting all of your furniture white, which is instantly going to make wood tones look a lot fresher. You could also really venture into more colorful pieces. This is one of the few arenas where you can actually bring in green, blue, and red sofas. Right now neutral furniture has really taken over but you might still just have a very basic colorful piece that you love and it’s in good condition but you don’t know how to decorate around it. Going with the new versions of neutrals is really going to change this up for you quite easily.

You’re also going to want to consider where in your home you are going to use this which is especially important if you have an open floor plan or very daring orange wallpaper or green wallpaper. You might just want to paint a few of the walls in a darker color. This can lead to from room to room. It also adds rest to each individual space. It can be difficult to pick a wall color when you really have to choose a tone that can work throughout your whole bottom floor. Oftentimes in modern homes these rooms aren’t really sectioned off and this does give you a light and airy feeling but it can seem really limiting your decorating options at times.
