For those fashionable chicks who are not afraid to try something extreme we recommend the craze of this spring season 2011 – the thigh high boots. We are not the only ones who think this way as many shoes stores have already supplied themselves with tons of models of these boots, and they are still being sold at rapid speed. Stop, however, for a second, especially if you have never owned this type of boots, as you probably want to know what kind of controversies surround them, and how to avoid these views.
The reason why many people are still holding beef (if it can be called so, that is) towards women who wear thigh high boots is because they still associate these images with vulgar types of women. That’s right, in the past only the women with no respect for themselves would dare to wear such provocative type of footwear, but nowadays this belief is starting to dissipate, especially with such stars as Madonna appearing to the press wearing them. She also proved that, despite your age, you can still look dangerously sexy, yet very classy even with the thigh high boots.
We don’t recommend going after the glamorous high end designer thigh high boots, if you can’t afford them, but we also don’t recommend rushing into buying all the cheap discounted ones, either. In any case, you want to stay vigilant, as there is an equal chance of getting a poorly made expensive pair of boots and getting an extremely poorly made cheap models. The chances of the latter are much higher, however, so keep that in mind.
Definitely pay more attention to the accessories that you put on with these boots, as they can divert the attention on your boots and make your whole outlook be more balanced. You also want to wear skirts and shorts with these boots, although it is possible to utilize cheap skinny jeans, dresses and oversized shirts, as well – feel free to experiment with the latter, if you have confidence in your sense of style.
Stay away from the black shiny leather models if you don’t have enough confidence to wear. These can look extremely great, but if you don’t know what you are doing you will just look vulgar. Also, if you are tall and have slender legs it is much more likely that the thigh high boots will suit you – at least, that’s what commonly is observed.
