A Hand-Me-Down and I Still Love It
The very first pair of Oakley sunglasses that I have owned is Oakley Canteen. This was a hand me down given to me by my old friend. He has been an Oakley ever since he can buy them and I tell you that he has already lots of them. He has shown me all of his collection and I was in awe when I saw them. It was just amazing. He has everything from snow goggles, polarized sunglasses to prescription glasses. I saw him one time wearing his Oakley Wisdom snow goggles when we went skiing and I was just so jealous of it, but in a good way.
I was about to buy a new pair of Oakley Canteen sunglasses but I just knew that it has been discontinued. But nevertheless I just wanted to share my experience. My old friend gave me his rust frames with VR28 Black Iridium which I think got discontinued pretty early on and I didn’t even get a chance of buying a new one. My old friend got them pretty much when they first came out. He loves getting the latest Oakley products.
I wear these Oakley Canteen sunglasses almost every day when I go out to town. I thought that the VR28 Black Iridium lens would be dark enough for bright conditions (it’s not), but the lens still cuts glare and very versatile. I like that I can wear these as the sun is setting or on overcast days without being too dark. They are very comfortable and they don’t fog up. They are also great for everyday wear and can handle a little activity with no problems.
From then on, I have been an Oakley fan too. I like their style and how their products are comfortable. Though quite expensive but you really get what you want or what you expect. You wouldn’t regret wearing one of their Oakley products.
