3 Unique Wedding Centerpieces
Wedding centerpieces can be a very fun aspect of decorating your wedding and if you are prepared well in advance, you can create a wonderful aura that will be memorable for years to come. All it takes is a little thinking outside the box and some intuitive planning. Here we give you three ideas to put together wedding centerpieces that will put your wedding on the books as one of the most remembered events.
Centerpiece Cakes
Consider showcasing a special cake with each table having a different but similar version as its center. As your guests sit amongst each other they will not be able to help but discuss the theme, how their table is the most special of the lot or how special you have made their seating experience. On each cake, along the outside edge, have the cake decorator write a special message of thanks for being a part of your wedding. On the top of each cake, write the names of your guests at the table. This will easily work since most weddings have a seating chart and you will know in advance the names to include on each one. If yours is a wedding without seating charts, write a thank you note on the top and your wedding date and your names on the sides. It will be a hit!
Candles, lights and mirrors
On each table, a beautifully romantic wedding centerpiece idea is to gather together candles in one color or one color theme, ideally according to your entire wedding’s theme, and place them on a square mirror tile. You can find mirror tiles at any hardware store or department store that has a hardware section. Also on each mirror square, put some tea lights for added depth and ambiance. Your guests’ jewelry will sparkle into the night and the overall glow of candlelight will lend a very soft atmosphere to your evening reception.
Message trees
For interesting and tall wedding centerpieces place a tree stalk with bare stems or branches on each table, for about every eight guests, that resembles miniature trees without leaves. Then, take small previously cut out shapes to match the theme of your wedding and tie them onto the branches with ribbon. Supply your guests with monogrammed pens they can use to sign messages on the shapes, leaving you and your partner with lovely sentiments from all the guests.
With a few out of the ordinary supplies and some innovative thinking, there is no end to creative and quite inexpensive wedding centerpieces!
